How to write a memory jar invitationAn invitation to friends and relatives is important because they can contribute their personal feelings and memories to this special gift. WHAT IS A MEMORY JAR ? It is a way of remembering and celebrating a special occasion with a special person . HOW DOES IT WORK? A MEMORY JAR can be a pleasurable time for the writer as well while you ponder down memory lane to capture and revisit your thoughts and feelings , and reminise about the times spent together and relating to the importance of the events in the past, the meaning of the relationship during the time You've known each other , whether related or in friendship or as school buddies, sports events,Your teacher,Your partner, wife, son, daughter ,leader,or at concerts,family gatherings,Team ,Whatever. You can express this writing down Your Feelings, Thoughts Emotions and YOUR memories on a piece of paper sending them to your special friend where they will live on forever in that special persons JAR . I will use a JAR or BOX and fill it with notes and photo's that have been given to me by Anita-Toni's family and friends and old acquaintances right back to early child hood days . Memories can not be bought and can not be lost you can only choose to lose them. They are pictures in your mind you want to bring back. For instance a friend or a relative you've known for years and did everything with. Suddenly you have wedding bells and children crying in your ears a picture comes into your mind and you realize you've left everyone behind with out saying good bye. A memory jar is a place where you keep your memories in so you have room in your head for wedding flowers and diaper brands then when ever you need comfort the rest of your mind will be inside your jar doing its job Never Forgetting.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? All you need to do is send a letter, note, card, or photo with stories,comments about the special memories you have of time spent with Anita-Toni over the past 40 Years It can be about funny incidents, happy times, party times Mischief that you got up too,(which I probably shouldn't know about!) Your Kindy days, school days ,University ,or anything that comes to mind that Anita most likely has forgotten. It's usually the small things that mean the most. You'd be amazed. You can send it by email, letter, postcard, even a tape recording ,or a CD with photos. WHAT TO DO !
THEN WHAT HAPPENS ! Anita-Toni will be presented with the Memory Jar on the Day/Night on behalf of all of you then She'll read examine the contents at her leisure Which I know will give much pleasure. She will keep her Jar in the Lounge , or somewhere handy In the future when she has spare time, She can go in daily weekly yearly, and read over the memories that you have re kindled . Then over the next 40 years you can continue adding too the Jar Her Family and children,grandchildren (Heaven Forbid) can also keep adding to this precious gift.
