Asian Salad Recipes

These asian salad recipes are tasty, easy to prepare, and look attrractive. They are a meal in one.

Pork Chops and Vietnamese Salad

  • 4 Pork Chops,
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce,
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce,
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger,
  • 4 garlic cloves-crushed


  • Snow peas, mixed green salad,
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce,
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 red chilli,
  • ½ cup chopped almonds

Place meat in a shallow dish. Pour over combined sauces, ginger and garlic, turning to coat meat well. Allow to marinate for at least 15 mins

Toss salad add sauces, and chilli. Serve immediately

Vietnamese prawn salad

  • 500g cooked prawns,
  • 250g cherry tomatoes,
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and cut into short thin sticks,
  • 1 lebanese cucumber, cut into thin sticks,
  • 125g bean sprouts,
  • ½ cup mint leaves,
  • ½ cup coriander,
  • lettuce leaves.

Chop prawns and toss with remaining ingredients except lettuce. Arrange lettuce leaves on plates. Fill each lettuce leave with salad mixture and spoon over dressing and serve.

Dressing

  • 1 garlic clove crushed,
  • 1 small red chilli, finely chopped,
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce,
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar,
  • 1 lime, juiced,
  • 3 teaspoons caster sugar.

Combine and stir until sugar dissolves.

Summer Steak Salad With Ginger-Lime Dressing

  • Dressing Ingredients 3 tablespoons fish sauce,
  • 2 tablespoons sugar,
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice,
  • 2 tablespoons water,
  • 1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger,
  • 2 garlic cloves minced,
  • 1 chilli
  • Salad Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce,
  • 1 tablespoon medium-dry Sherry,
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce,
  • 2 garlic cloves minced,
  • 1 teaspoon (packed) brown sugar,
  • 500g steak, thinly sliced,
  • Lettuce,
  • 1 cup basil leaves,
  • Cucumber,
  • cherry tomatoes,
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil,
  • 1/2 medium-size onion,
  • cut into thin wedges,
  • 2 shallots sliced into thin rounds,
  • 1/4 medium pineapple, peeled, cored, halved lengthwise, cut crosswise into 1/3-inch-thick slices

For dressing Whisk all ingredients in small bowl to blend

For salad Mix oyster sauce, sherry, soy sauce, minced garlic, and brown sugar in medium bowl. Stir in steak. Marinate steak at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours, stirring occasionally

Combine lettuce, basil, cucumber, and tomatoes in large bowl. Add half of dressing and toss to coat. Arrange greens mixture in salad dish

Heat oil in large non-stick skillet over high heat.
Add onion and shallots and sauté 30 seconds.
Add beef with marinade, Sauté until beef is brown outside but still pink inside, about 4 minutes.
Add pineapple slices and stir until pineapple is heated through, about 1 minute longer. Spoon steak mixture with any pan juices atop dressed greens mixture. Drizzle salad with remaining dressing and serve

Chicken with Avacado and Mango Salad

  • 500gms Chicken Wings,
  • 1/4 cup honey,
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce,
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce

Marinate all ingredients in a bowl for 1 hour, turning occasionlly

Salad

  • Mixed salad leaves,
  • 1 avacado peeled and sliced,
  • 1 mango peeled and sliced,
  • 1 red onion sliced thinly,
  • 1/2 cup roasted cashews.
  • Combine all together

Dressing

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil,
  • 1 lime juiced,
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce.
  • Whisk all together

Cook chicken wings and serve over salad. Dizzle dressing over just before serving

The dressing's from these asian salad recipes can be made ahead of time and placed in the refrigerator. Although you should not keep homemade infused oils for more than 12 hours, especially those with garlic or onions.
