Ross Ruddell and Dianne Young

In setting up this web site Ross Ruddell and Dianne Young bring a lifetime of experiences living and working in all parts of Rural Queensland.

Dianne was brought up on a sheep property in a small country town (Dulacca) in South East Queensland.

On leaving school she worked in the local store before starting work with a large pastoral company as a Customer Service Officer. Dianne initially came to Hughenden for a month with the pastoral company, liked the area and decided to stay. After leaving the company she started a rural based business in partnership with Ross Ruddell and has now been in Hughenden for 11 years. Dianne has 3 boys, which she is very proud off. Two of the boys are now married and she now has 4 grandchildren.

Ross Ruddell was born in Queenslands state capital (Brisbane). As the son of well known country policeman Dudley Ruddell, he spent his young years moving all over country Queensland, firstly going to Clare in north Qld, then Aramac, then on to Jandowae on the Darling Downs. At the age of 13 he went to Boarding school at Ipswich Grammar, where he spent the next 4 years.

Ross joined the National Bank working in Brisbane, Gympie and Townsville. Leaving the Bank, he moved to Melbourne and worked in the Alfred Hospital as ambulance co-ordinator. After a couple of years, Ross got sick of the big smoke and yearned for the bush. For the next 25 years Ross worked for a large pastoral house and was posted all over Queensland spending time in Theodore, Texas, Roma, Emerald, Inglewood, Cunnamulla, Rolleston, Moura, Rockhampton, Julia Creek and Hughenden.

Ross is always looking for new ideas for his clients. He became the companies first level 1 cattle assessor when the ability to describe live stock for sale over the internet became available. Now the industry has moved a step further with the increasing use of digital cameras and the internet.

Dianne and Ross started looking for ways to use these new tools to help their clients gain a much wider market for their livestock and real estate. Using the SiteBuildit program has made this possible without years of computer trainng or a large investment.

Ross Ruddell and Dianne Young for the last 11 years have been working together and for the past 4 years have had their own business.
